The Windsor Hotel Wedding Photography | Becky & Stuart
The wedding of Becky & Stuart was a lovely mix of tradition and playfulness. The couple married at the Church of St Andrew & St Cuthman in the gorgeous village of Steyning which was hugely important to Becky as it’s her family’s church.
Keeping with tradition Becky got ready at her mum’s house and by the time I had arrived, Becky’s make-up was fully underway and hair was already tousled expertly into place. Becky’s job as a teacher means she is super organised and amazingly calm, and her wedding day was no different. Cups of tea and lots of nibbles were always at the ready as Becky and her bridesmaids relaxed until it was time to get her wedding frock on. Becky chose an ivory satin, A-line wedding dress with pretty crystal detail and lace-up back. Her bridesmaids looked pretty in soft rose pink floor length dresses and flowergirl wore a ivory and pink confetti dress.
Arriving at the Church of St Andrew & St Cuthman, I met with Stuart and his Bestman who looked dapper in pale grey suits and pale pink ties. Before we knew it, Becky arrived in her chauffeur driven cream convertible Beauford accompanied by her mum who would soon be walking her daughter down the aisle. As I went to the car, I found Becky alone in the car as her mum had gone to greet guests. I will remember this moment for a very long time as Becky gasped and said, ‘Laura, I am so pleased you’re here!’…my usually calm bride had just become really overwhelmed by the enormity of the day and tears began to form in her eyes. With a few deep breaths and reassurances from me that it was OK to feel like this (because, you know, it really is!), she was soon at the ready to make that all important walk.
After a beautiful ceremony and a few photos at the church in Steyning, the couple and their guests made their way to the seaside to The Windsor Hotel in Worthing for their reception. Becky kept with a simple colour palette of simple softs pinks with the main focus being a great party with their nearest and dearest. I had a lot of fun with this warm and fun couple, and felt so welcome into their day that it was just like one big hug in a a mug!
