As a wedding photographer, I’m always looking for the next awesome memory to capture and beautiful light. Sarah and Gareth’s wedding day gave it to me in buckets!

As guests checked into Wasing Park, a relaxed bridal preparation got underway in the Honeymoon Suite – Sarah was the most relaxed bride ever. Gareth got dressed nearby in his Scottish groom’s kilt with his son and bestman keeping nerves at bay. My lovely second photographer, Jenny was on hand to help make sure we captured the very best we could.

I know Sarah and Gareth were both so nervous about having their photo taken but I always ensure I meet my client’s before the day. In my mind, there’s nothing worse than meeting a stranger with a scary camera on one of the most important and emotional days of your life! Having that meet for a casual chat about the day and meeting just helps iron out any concerns and puts a name/personality to the face! I think you’ll agree they both absolutely rocked it!

With Scottish heritage myself, a Scottish wedding always makes my heart sing. With tartan touches, pretty florals, thistles and kilts, their style worked perfectly with the rustic backdrop of Wasing Park.

Sarah’s bridal reveal to her dad on the way to the ceremony was the sweetest and one I’ll always remember with fondness.

We were lucky to have a beautiful early spring day full of sunshine and it was glorious. Guests were playful and it was an absolute joy to capture. Westlife’s very own Shane Filan even made a brief virtual appearance as super fan Sarah was surprised with a recorded message from the singer. Her face was an absolute picture!
