The Gardens Yalding Wedding Photography | Sam & Andy

‘We could not be happier that we chose Laura as our photographer for our wedding day! She is incredibly talented and there are no words for how absolutely ecstatic we are with the photos she managed to capture – so many beautiful moments that we simply wouldn’t have remembered if it wasn’t for her! She is so lovely and slotted into our day so perfectly, even helping my Mum out getting me into my dress! Laura, you are a legend!’
~ Sam & Andy

Meet Sam and Andy. Their gorgeous wedding was held at The Gardens in Yalding and they’re a flippin’ awesome couple with an incredible set of family and friends!

By their own admission, they found venue hunting a really interesting experience, going from feeling slightly overwhelmed to begin with to quickly realising that all your priorities whittle down your options. The venue they eventually settled with was The Gardens in Yalding, of course. It wasn’t one they’d heard of or even seen on the internet, having only just opened in 2016 but it was recommended to them by one of Andy’s friends. The flexible offering instantly ticked alot of their boxes and as soon as they visited, they instantly fell in love. It’s not hard to see why!

Sam & Andy opted for a woodland theme – lots of green tones, lots of foliage and neutral colours. It seamlessly fitted with The Gardens and the mix of the tipi plus modern barn setting. Visually, it was just how they had imagined it. Sam was keen to have eucalyptus feature in their flowers, plus lots of foliage, with a focus on big, white, fluffy flowers. Her bridesmaids had hydrangeas as their bouquets, whilst Sam had an assortment of white flowers and foliage.

The walk down the aisle was nerve-wracking for Sam, but amazing. She was convinced she’d fall over and embarass herself. Andy equally felt nervous – something that’s so common and something I always advise to ‘ride the wave’ of because it’s all part your journey! They were very lucky to have beautiful weather and, with their ceremony planned for outside, it was just perfect. Despite having more then 100 guests at the ceremony, the setting made it feel so intimate, which really helped them to enjoy the experience.

High by the Lighthouse Family was the couple’s first dance and it was their favourite bit of the day. Despite being the part they were most nervous about, everyone got straight onto the dancefloor and sang along; it was a moment I’m sure they’ll never forget. Their beautiful and fun wedding day is one that I’ll certainly remember for a long time!
