Orleans House Gallery and Osterley Park Wedding | Judith & Steven
‘Where to begin! Laura was an absolute pleasure to have on the day. She took amazing photos of the day that we will treasure forever. She made all the guests feel at ease and managed to get great photos of many members in the most natural way. I will recommend her to anyone and everyone that asks!’
~ Judith & Steven
Finally blogging this stunning humdinger of an Orleans House and Osterley Park wedding. Both are so so beautiful, so when Steven first got in touch about his and Judith’s wedding, I was super excited to be shooting at these stunning wedding venues, and I was not disappointed! Oh, and spoiler alert…these two are also amazingly lucky to call Osterley House their home as Judith works at the house…I mean, whaaaat?!! So dreamy! Oh, and I got to use some of the back corridors too…you know those ones in the huge historic houses you visited as a kid and always wondered where the secret doors were? Those! Easily pleased me!
This gorgeous day was held on a gloriously warm and sunny June Saturday, and boy was it a stunner! Both got ready at Osterley House; Steven in their flat with their dog, Benton and Judith with her favourite people in her maid of honour’s flat. Judith’s dress was truly amazing with a gorgeously big skirt, illusion sweetheart neckline and lace back – I’m always such a massive fan of lace, there’s something just so romantic about it.
A red London Routemaster bus chauffeured Steven and their wedding guests from Osterley Park to Orleans House for their ceremony, with Judith arriving in a vintage white Jaguar with her mum. Their ceremony was in one of the most stunning ceremony rooms I have ever had the pleasure to capture; a real wow! It was filled with emotion too and it’s fair to say Steven’s mum was caught by me in a crossfire of tears and amazing happiness!
After a short drinks reception with a couple of photos, guests boarded the bus again and were soon swooping up the long drive to the beautifully imposing Osterley Park and House. As guests tucked into canapes, the three of us had a lovely walk around the grounds for their couple session, saving some time for later and after dessert which meant only one thing…BENTON time!!! The couple’s gorgeously mad dog was allowed out to see his humans and the couple were keen to have him in some photos too. It’s no secret that dogs at weddings make me slightly giddy with happiness!
I got to capture so many wonderful characters and moments too. The ‘what happened at the stag party?’ group photo of Steven and his favourites, still gives me the giggles…I’ll leave it for you to guess!
Judith and Steven’s wedding day was truly a corker – the incredibly fun Judith and Steven, the epic venue, next level floristry and styling, the AMAZING personalised amigurumi cake topper by Judith’s very own MOH, Benton the crazy pooch and me failing backwards over a hay bale (I was meant to, honest!) – truly fab!
I think I was one of the last people to be lucky enough to capture a wedding at Osterley Park as they no longer have weddings there. HOWEVER, if you’re planning a wedding at Orleans House or a London wedding, I’d love to hear from you!
Enough of my rambling, let’s get stuck in shall we?! Here’s more from Judith and Steven’s London wedding day…
