Norwood Place Barn Wedding Photography | Catherine & Alex

Catherine & Alex are such a fabulous pairing and they found us through a mutual wedding planner friend. I say us as they booked Chris (my hubbers) at Chris Giles Photography but wanted me to second shoot their day too. We got to know these two really well and can firmly call them friends now which is so lovely. Shooting their day was a dream and whilst Chris started with the girls, I went to see Alex and his boys at home. This is the bit where I should admit a slightly weird crush…well, if you don’t know I’m dog mad and go all gooey-eyed at any legged woofer. Catherine and Alex then introduced me to Churchill and I admit there’s a special place in my heart for this soft ol’ handsome brute. You’ll see photos of his gorgeous face below but I really should get back to telling you about the wedding! Catherine and Alex are super country-outdoorsy people and quite simply they incorporated all things outdoors into their day. The couple adore animals and there were plenty throughout their day – chickens, cats, dogs, birds of prey and horses all made an appearance! Catherine has her own horses and loves them so much that even her hair was braided with flowers like a horses mane which looked stunning…how cool is that?! After marrying at St Bartholomew’s Church in Leigh on an early summer’s day, guests headed to Norwood Place Barn nestled in gorgeous Surrey countryside. What a find this little place was! A working farm with a pretty, rickety old barn surrounded by grounds and a lake but one that felt super relaxed and gorgeously farm-y! Here’s more from their day…
