Nadine & Nick’s Elements of Geek Wedding at Blackfriars Priory
‘We chose Laura because we liked the playful spontaneity of her photographs. From day one she was super helpful, communicative and supportive. She offered her help not just as a photographer, but also as someone to listen when we had any problems. On the day itself she was really considerate regarding the photographs we wanted taken, and compromised herself in many ways to capture perfect moments (much lying on the floor!). Half the time we didn’t even see her taking the pictures, so we can only conclude that she is a ninja as well as wedding photographer! The photographs she took are fantastic. They’re colourful, lively and captured every important moment perfectly. We had lots of very nice comments from the guests about her and the pictures she took. We cannot recommend Laura enough, you’d be silly not to choose her for your special day!’
~ Nadine & Nick
The wedding of Nadine and Nick was so deliciously geeky and oh so pretty! The couple remained absolutely true to who they are and if you’ve been following me for a while then you’ll know I will cheer from the side lines and some when you really stamp you’re wedding with all things ‘you’!
Nadine and Nick were no exception to this including a heady mix of Game of Throne, LEGO, comics and Star Wars to their amazing day. Blackfriars Priory was their venue for the day and it fitted perfectly with their love of architecture but it was also one that felt super relaxed too and the couple added to the styling perfectly with loose country flowers, ribbons, pompoms and fairy lights too. Of course a wedding isn’t complete without those all important family touches too – Nick’s dad played their ceremony music, a friend made their amazing GoT and Star Wars cakes, and it was all hands to deck to put all the styling together.
The couple were so much fun to shoot too. We had a plethora of weathers (typically August!) but they absolutely rocked through it and they couldn’t have been less phased by it, instead choosing to embrace it and did we get some beauts. I can never pick just a few images to show you because I love to show you how I typically shoot a day, so keen on a scrollin’ to see how Nadine & Nick’s day unfolded…
