Marilla & Andrew’s Farm Barn Wedding at Wick Farm

The gorgeous Marilla and Andrew married on a blissful summer’s day in July at Wick Farm in Bath. The British weather is notoriously a pain in the derrieré at the best of times, so to get pretty perfect weather for a wedding is somewhat of a rarity and our weather certainly has many a bride hanging out of a window with everything crossed in the process! OK, so it was pretty warm that day, but we got treated to blue skies, the right amount of fluffy white clouds and soft sunlight just when we needed it. The pair hired the idyllic Leigh House for the weekend which allowed their nearest and dearest to get ready all together. I had complete house envy with Leigh House – a luxury boutique farm house with the most dreamy interiors and gardens which also hosts weddings too! Admittedly, there were some close moments where Andy almost saw his bride-to-be as they were in such close proximity, but this proved no match for my stealth moves when it came to detail shots of Marilla’s lace backless sheath wedding dress from I Do Couture and killer red suede wedding shoes! The style for the day was simple and understated – red and cream gerberas with roses formed Marilla’s bouquet and adorned rustic dining tables. Andy, his groomsmen and the couple’s two young sons wore a petrol blue three-piece suit with red tie which worked perfectly. After a warm, but emotional ceremony, guests meandered out onto the gardens of Wick Farm where the very scrummy Cafe Bon Bon Ice Cream Tricycle served the most amazing flavours of ice cream in waffle cones and staff served bubbles. Garden games were played in full force by young and old alike before guests were called for dinner in the Upper Barn. Crisp white linen laid the base for a rustic family-style antipasti starter, a main course of lamb with all the trimmings and cherry Bakewell for pudding from Strawberry Field Catering. A favor and after dinner tipple in the form of Jägermeister minatures perched at place settings and before long the party was in full swing with Andrew and Marilla leading the way with their first dance…Gangnam Style! These two were such a super pair to work with and although self-confessed ‘non-picture-people’, they trusted me to do my thang. Before long they looked like absolute pros and super cute with it. I like to do my couple shots in two smaller stages throughout the day which I find keeps things relaxed and captures different dynamics. Just five days after their wedding, Andrew and Marilla along with their sons were fully packed up and ready to ship out, literally! With family ties in Brunei, the family decided that change was needed and off they went! I wish them every happiness in their new home! Here are some of the photos from their day…   Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew Marilla & Andrew
