Firle Place Wedding Photography | Nella & Jonathan

I get to capture weddings in the most beautiful places with the most wonderful people. A Firle Place wedding and Nella & Jonathan are most definitely two of those gorgeous things.

The Georgian Riding School at Firle Place in East Sussex is a stunning Grade 2* listed building located in the private grounds of the house. This impressive and historic building is surrounding my croquet lawns, gardens and the lake. Whilst grand, it’s versatility lends itself to every style of wedding.

Nella and Jonathan’s wedding day here was actually their second after an intimate Hindu ceremony in London which can be seen over on the blog too. As a fusion couple, this was their self-named ‘English wedding’ which saw the gents in morning suits and Nella in a lace full skirted wedding gown. The couple had a blessing at St Peters Church in Firle which sits just next door to Firle Place making it super convenient for guests to take a short walk to the wedding venue.

Proceedings were tightly timed that day because England were playing in the World Cup Quarter Finals, so the there was an extra added mad buzz of excitement added to the day! Drinks were served as we all watched the game on a big screen on one of the most beautiful days of the year. I managed to steal these two away briefly for some portraits and there was that special romantic moment as England scored, Jonathan punched the air and Nella just fell about laughing!

Everyone had so much fun and there were so many characters which is a photographers dream to capture. Here’s more from there wonderful day…
