Fiona & Richard’s Underground Wedding at Cole Court
Just like out of the movies, Fiona & Rich met on the Underground in the big smoke of London – how cool is that?! So it seemed fitting that the couple decided to theme their wedding around the Underground too. They even wrote to Transport for London to let them know of their romantic news. Very kindly they were sent all manner of London Underground paraphernalia to decorate the day with and the couple chose simple blue and white hydrangeas to compliment the scheme.
Fiona wore a ivory soft lace and sequined wedding dress and carried a simple bouquet of blue hydrangea and white gysophila. Her red locks gentled tousled back made her look almost Grecian and so beautiful. The gents wore grey morning suits whilst the girls wore royal blue bridesmaid dresses.
The couple married in The Norman Moore Temple, a blue domed room at the lovely Cole Court , a masonic lodge in Twickenham.
But wait for it…the registrar was none other than Fiona’s very own wonderful mum who was clearly so proud to be marrying her daughter. Even for a trained wedding registrar extraordinaire, I can only imagine how nerve-wracking and emotional that must have been for her! It meant so much to them all and it made for an even closer and more beautiful ceremony with their loved ones surrounding them.
The warm August air meant guests could enjoy drinks and garden games in the grounds before dinner and dancing the night away.
Here are a few photos from their day…
