A: I describe my photography style as intuitive, honest, natural and playful. I’m quite unobtrusive in my shooting style, so I don’t tend to interfere too much. I want you to be relaxed and enjoy your day so I try to encourage that in everything I do. I take all of my photos in intimate, relaxed settings and try to use natural lighting as often as possible; most of all its candid and fun!
A: Yes! I love destination weddings. Send me more information on your travel plans, and I will create a custom wedding collection to suit your needs. This often just means an add on of travel costs to your chosen package.
A: Of course! Depending on availability and the number of hours you have set aside for photography, I have special rates for weekday weddings and elopements.
A: Oh my gosh, YES! I encourage all my clients to meet either in person or over Skype. I think it’s super important that you get to know me and feel 100% happy before you make any decisions. If we can do it over drinks/coffee and cake, then all the better!
A: A 25% retainer and signed contract is required in order to get your wedding date on the calendar. Eight weeks prior to your wedding, the remainder of the balance is then due.
A: Absolutely! I really recommend them and think they are a great idea. It means you get to know me a bit better and make sure you are comfortable with me ahead of the day. It also means you get a bit of practice in front of the camera. You will realise that it only feels weird for the first couple of minutes, after that you will be used to it and much more relaxed. You might even enjoy it and start posing like a rock star! But even if you don’t go that far, at least you will know what to expect on the big day. Some people even use the photos from their pre-wedding shoot for their Save the Dates or Invitations!
Pre-wedding shoots can be booked for the price of £350. They can be anywhere within Sussex or further afield which will involve a small travel charge. It’s likely that the pre-wedding shoot will need to be on a weekday and will usually last around 90mins. Perhaps plan something fun for afterwards and make a day of it?!
A: Most of my wedding collections come with one photographer (me!), although you can always add on a second photographer for an additional cost. I offer half or full day cover for a second photographer and this mostly comes down to varying factors on your day but we can discuss which will be most suitable for you.
A: Yes of course! I love staying until the end, that’s when the most fun happens! You can add hours on to my package, so please contact me for more details.
A: I use all the latest Canon equipment. I always carry two 5D R6, 35mm lens, 85mm lens, 50mm lens, 24-70mm lens and 70-200mm lens, amongst other items. All of my cameras and lenses have a backup in the rare event that anything should happen to one of my pieces. I also have professional insurance to cover every aspect of my business.
A: Having shot in the UK for many years now, I have lots of experience in wet and windy weather. There will always be a get around and something we can do whatever the weather may throw at us. In any case, I always encourage my clients to seize the moment and just embrace it!
A: Although I appreciate things happen, I’m pretty robust and I’d have to be pretty poorly not to attend your day. If this were to happen, I not only have a pretty awesome wedding-photographer-husband, but I’m also part of a huge community of fab wedding photographers who will help at a moment’s notice!
Yes please do! I include low resolution versions on your USB for this very reason. I would love it if you would tag me or link to my website when you share your photos. 🙂
A: Yes! Upon receiving your images, you will also get a full print release.
A: I highly recommend ordering prints through my professional labs, but its not required. The difference in quality is huge when it comes to ordering through a professional lab, so I encourage clients to let me help with prints! Finally, if you want to get your photos printed elsewhere you can use the high resolution digital files on your USB and give them to the printers of your choice.
A: I do indeed. The albums I supply have many cover options to choose from. They are beautiful and handmade in the UK or Italy. There are many personalisation options and a variety of cover materials and colours. Please contact me for more information on my albums.
A: I set a deadline of 6 weeks for your photos to cover myself in case it’s a really busy time. However, it is often quite a lot quicker than that. If it ever looks like it’s going to be longer then I will keep you fully informed of when you can expect them.
A: No, I don’t give out the RAW files. You are paying for me to take the photos and edit them into a beautiful final product, so I do that and send you the Jpegs.
A: I spend a lot of time editing your photos to make them look beautiful. Hopefully, if you are going to book me as your wedding photographer then you like my style of editing! If you edit them yourself it means that it is no longer my own work and infringes on my copyright. So, please don’t edit the photos with a horrible FB/Instagram yellow filter. Pretty please!
A: I sure do! From wedding coordinators to florists and HMUAs to caterers, I have worked with some of the most fabulous people in the industry and would be happy to share their information with you.
