Daisy & Chris’ Spring Beach Wedding at The Gallivant
‘Thank you so much for everything, the photos are stunning! We absolutely loved having you as our photographer. You were professional and friendly and a calming influence during the preparations. You kept us at ease throughout all the photos with your constant humour taking our mind off the fact that we are so photo awkward! Chris and I are over the moon with the photos and love looking through them still. Each photo tells a story and reminds us of different moments throughout the day. The intimate and romantic shots are truly stunning, everything I imagined and more! You really do have a creative eye too. We couldn’t thank you enough for everything, the photos, the advice and the gift box with the USB and a few little extras – you really do go the extra mile!’
~ Daisy & Chris
Spring has to be one of my all time favourite times of year for a wedding. Add to that one of the most gorgeous stretches of sandy beach on the south coast in the form of Camber Sands in East Sussex and a pretty smokin’ couple, and that really makes my heart sing. But I can’t leave it there because Daisy and Chris also chose a sublime venue, non other than The Gallivant, to get married. I simply LOVE shooting here and every time I’m there, I just want to move in for good! Noted as one the Top 100 Great British Hotels by The Times (and a literal stones throw or two from the sand dunes), amongst other fabulous awards, it was no wonder Daisy and Chris were so excited about their day at The Gallivant.
The couple both got ready at The Gallivant with their respective loved ones and we even snuck in a ‘first touch’ moment before the ceremony. They wanted to have a really chilled vibe for the day – beachy themed yet romantic and they absolutely nailed it! With drinks and canapes in full swing, we headed up to the dunes for some portraits and breathing time. That spring day was the most beautiful day and that soft billowing light was just gorgeous.
The boys looked super sharp in tweed, whilst Daisy rocked a soft flowy, full-length number complete with sparkly belt, fishtail plait in her hair and bridesmaids in navy gowns. Not to forget the prettiest flowergirl in town, Daisy and Chris’ daughter – serious cute alert here!
Favourite moment of the day? Us shouting, ‘Touch foreheads!’…scroll down to see if you can spot the moment that had us all belly laughing (clue: involves thumbs)! Daisy were the most relaxed and fun couple. This made their day so awesome and they were such a pleasure to work with. It was all just a bit yummy!
Over to you lovelies to have a scroll through their day….. x
Helping Hands: Massive thanks to my husband, Chris Giles Photography , for helping me on the day when I’d lost my voice of all things!
