Church of the Sacred Heart & The Grand Brighton Wedding | Helen & Joe

I’m fortunate enough to say that I get to travel to so many gorgeous places with my work and this time, I got to in my hometown of Brighton when I got to shoot Helen and Joe’s wedding with Chris. I was second photographer for the day, so in true form I headed to meet Joe and the boys getting ready in Hove before a few drinks with guests at Paris Wine Bar. The ceremony was held at the Church of the Sacred Heart, a well kept secret and very stunning church nestled in amongst the bustle of Hove. Helen wore a tea-length Justin Alexander dress with a short 60s inspired veil and playful bouquet of cream roses accentuated with blue and purple blooms. Joe wore a navy suit and the boys donned grey morning suits all with accents of blue and cream, a nod to the seaside, of course. After a beautiful ceremony, guests boarded a vintage Routemaster which took them along Brighton’s infamous seafront and for open air drinks in Palmeira Square and a few photos. It was then off the The Grand Brighton for the couple’s reception in The Empress Suite which faces the sea in all it’s glory. Of course, we couldn’t resist taking Helen & Joe to the slightly blustery beach and carousel for some fun photos too. A delicious dinner and emotional speeches were soon had, and everyone couldn’t wait to hit the dancefloor with the band and the photobooth we had provided. There were certainly some hilarious moments in the booth and Helen chose the awesome candy pink stripe too (not for the fain-hearted!) – an elegant seaside feel was most definitely the order of the day! We had so much fun with this fabulously playful pair and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Thanks Helen & Joe for letting us capture your day!
