Jenny and Alex married at Cain Manor on a spring March day and everything was just so beautiful. I played second shooter for the husband, Chris Giles, and was soon looking after the boys when Alex and his groomsmen arrived.
Cain Manor , part of Bijou Weddings , nestles itself in the Surrey countryside and suited the couple perfectly with the classic style that they were striving for.
Jenny looked every inch the princess in an ivory strapless, tulle gown and the nerves soon took hold as the bathroom became a frenzy of people whilst they finished the lacing on her frock and touched up her already beautiful make-up. I remember Jenny’s huge deep breaths and apparent jitters and as I called her, words left my mouth… ‘Jenny, just breathe and ride it out – you’ll be fine’. Her bridesmaids wore Two Birds dresses in navy and they all wore the most gorgeous heels by Aruna Seth . Jenny’s nieces looked adorable in ivory dresses complete with sparkly shoes and white hydrangea flower circlets.
Alex chose to have a three-piece suite made to measure suit by Adam Waite and he looked really sharp, teaming it also with a dashing pair of red socks. Guests also pulled out all of the stops by wearing black tie attire and it all felt so glamorous.
Cain Manor was beautifully decorated in simple tones of navy and cream which enhanced the warmth and cosiness of the venue. The day oozed simple glamour and lots of love – what’s not to love?!
