Buxted Park Hotel Wedding Photography | Hannah & Lloyd

Getting married or at least the planning that goes into your big day can be downright stressful, but it’s such an exciting and wonderful journey too! Getting the right people in tow to help you have an epic day is definitely one of my top tips. Hannah and Lloyd had this down to a tee when they married at Buxted Park in East Sussex. The Kent-based couple fell in love with the Palladian mansion as soon as they saw it and knew it would be perfect for their summer wedding. They chose a simple pallette of white and greens for their day which felt so fresh, and really worked well with the elegant surroundings of Buxted Park. I second shot for Chris at their wedding. I met with Lloyd and the groomsmen at the hotel who were busy with table plan in hand and last minute touches in the Ballroom. Before long it was time for them to freshen up and dress in their grey morning suits before heading to The Orangery for the ceremony. As her dad proudly walked her down the aisle, Hannah looked beautiful in a white satin a-line gown with soft pleats at the sweetheart neckline. She tied it all together with Swarovski crystal-adorned court shoes, and bouquet of soft ferns, gypsophila and white orchids. Buxted Park is part of the Hand Picked Hotels  group and has a fabulous team of people who really do look after you. My favourite of those people is Marc Desseaux, Food & Beverage Manager, who keeps a watchful eye over a wedding, ensuring everyone is happy with his mad-cap French personality, a warm heart and absolute professionalism. He is quite simply, superb! After dinner, Hannah and Lloyd surprised guests with a set from The Birmingham Blues Brothers in the Coat of Arms Rooms who certainly kept the energy up and got guests dancing before the evening band Brighton-based, The Daggers. At times, the couple found the whole day really overwhelming especially being in the spotlight of it all, so Chris & I would take them off for some photo-time which just gave them time together away to be able to breathe and take it all in. This is so, so important and I can’t recommend it highly enough – give yourself a good 10 minutes together to just sit an watch it all from the sidelines. Have a peek at just some of the day’s images…
