Brighton Harbour Hotel Wedding Photography | Alice & Neil
‘Laura is just fantastic – she took the time to get to know us both in advance and understand exactly what we wanted from our photographs. On the day she was like a ninja – we barely noticed she was there! She made us laugh and put us at ease whenever she needed it. She’s just the best!’

Hey there, lovelies! If you’ve been having a look around my work and my socials, you’ll know I’m a big advocate of you adding your ‘flair’ to your wedding. The things that make people say, ‘this is totally your wedding’! Today, we’re diving into the enchanting tale of Alice and Neil’s big day at the fabulous Brighton Harbour Hotel, set against the vibrant backdrop of Brighton Pride weekend. Get ready for a celebration bursting with love, personal touches, heaps of friendship and a sprinkle of French flair!
Love in the Air: Brighton Pride Weekend Extravaganza
Against the colorful canvas of Brighton Pride weekend, Alice and Neil’s celebration unfolded at the fabulous Brighton Harbour Hotel – a perfect wedding venue overlooking the sea, full of Brighton quirk and character. As the city buzzed with Pride festivities, Alice and Neil tied the knot in a celebration that was not just a wedding but a joyous declaration of love during a weekend filled with color, music, and pure happiness.
Sweet Love: French Macarons and Butter Bliss
A stunning wedding cake adorned delightful French macarons and a (French, of course!) champagne cork bride and groom, a sweet nod to Alice’s roots. To add a touch of authenticity, Alice’s parents even brought over French butter for bread at dinner that had everyone swooning.
A Chapter in Love: Books, Bookmarks, and Table Talk
One of the most charming aspects of Alice and Neil’s celebration was their shared love of books. This couple cleverly incorporated this passion into their wedding, creating a unique table plan that left guests excited. Each table featured a collection of bookmarks in well-loved books, doubling as both table numbers and thoughtful keepsakes for the guests.
As if that weren’t enough, the tables were adorned with the couple’s favorite books as centerpieces. This thoughtful touch not only reflected their personalities but also sparked conversations among guests who reminisced about their own literary favorites. It was like a mini book club, but with a wedding twist!
Brighton Bliss: A Seaside Love Affair
Choosing Brighton Harbour Hotel as their venue wasn’t just a practical decision; it was a reflection of the couple’s deep love for all things Brighton. The sea breeze, the sound of seagulls, and the iconic pier in the background created a perfect setting for their love story to unfold.
And speaking of the pier, the lovebirds couldn’t resist a pitstop for their favorite Pier doughnuts, resulting in some awesome sugar-lipped photo moments that perfectly captured the essence of their Brighton love affair.
Margarita Slushies and Evening Bliss
As the sun dipped below the horizon, the evening party kicked off in style. To set the tone for a night of celebration, Alice and Neil surprised their guests with Margarita slushies, a gorgeous and refreshing way to start the festivities. The vibrant colors of the drinks mirrored the joyous atmosphere, and it wasn’t long before the dance floor was alive with laughter and spontaneous dance moves.
Alice and Neil’s wedding encapsulated everything I love as a wedding photographer, the personal touches that let me see into their world, the experience they created for everyone and the endless love.
Wishing you both a lifetime of love and happiness! x
