Gemma & Stephen’s Oh So Pretty Gorse Hill WeddingLauraEl
The couple both got ready at Gorse Hill with their nearest and dearest on a typically temperamental April’s day – a mix of grey skies and bright sunlight! In a full tulle skirted, pearl and crystal gown, Gemma wore her ‘something blue’ as gorgeous blue velvet Prada heels and a full length veil completed the look as she took to the main stairs for her descent to her beau…her garter was a bit of a tinker as it slipped before she’d even got half way down! Stephen, of course, looked equally as a gorgeous in a dark blue three-piece suit, but he also looked in a whole different world as I can only imagine, he contemplated the next chapters of his life with Gemma – the same look I saw as he got ready surrounded by his groomsmen, but for that moment Stephen was completely alone. And then there it was…that moment that tends to stay with you forever….the moment Gemma was escorted by her dad down the aisle – this was the bit of their day I’ll always remember too because Stephen saw his bride for the first time and crumbled into tears. Here ladies and gentlemen, is a special kinda love!
Gorse Hill is an elegant mansion in the beautiful countryside of Surrey. Once home to a number of colourful Edwardian characters, this hidden gem is now a relaxed and intimate haven. This totally suited this super cute couple and they work their magic in the dining area with soft pastel flowers and table names in their all time favourite sweets. Acoustic guitarist, Jon Hart played to guests during drinks and it was soon time for dinner. A photobooth and casino tables were set up in the lounge ready for guests to play a game of chance and then it was time for everyone to really let their hair down on the dance floor. Huge shout to Lee at LR Disco Entertainment for rocking it as normal!
Gemma and Stephen were an absolute delight to work with. It was a pleasure to be part of their day and I like to think I really captured who these two are…oh and that cheeky garter tried to make another run for it as we headed out for early evening portraits (the evidence is below!). Whilst I remember – be sure to check out Stephen’s sweetest grandparents, that love is still going strong! AND for the record…I was a good photographer and never did get to sample that A.M.A.Z.I.N.G cake!!!
